Indoctrination systems fail to prepare children
Issue
Nationalized test scores show that the California education system consistently ranks among the lowest in the nation, and that the Santa Cruz County government education system ranks below average in the state.
A key reason for this low performance is that many parents unwittingly surrender responsibility for their children's education to a state-sponsored educational system that places social, political, and environmental indoctrination over basic education.
Consequence
- An increasing number of children are not adequately prepared for advanced education or employment, limiting their ability to contribute positively toward society through properly exercising their individual sovereignty.
- Contributing to the degradation of society by building a self-perpetuating dependency-class of people who are unable, unwilling, or unprepared to exercise their individual sovereignty.
Position
Parents are primarily responsible for the education of their children and must exercise constant vigilance to regain and maintain authority over educational choice.
Objectives
- Open public discourse about the state of education, how to improve the quality of education, and how to strengthen Family Autonomy.
- Educate parents about educational alternatives that encourage educational excellence, prepare children for advanced education, and respect parental authority.
